Abstract
Children’s participation in public policies has become an increasingly important topic within the framework of children's rights. More and more countries are recognizing the importance of allowing children to contribute to decisions that directly affect them, in accordance with the principles set out in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This active participation not only enhances the legitimacy of public policies but also improves their effectiveness by better addressing children's actual needs. In Morocco, this dynamic is emerging as fertile ground for exploring the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of these principles. However, it faces institutional, cultural, and socio-economic barriers while striving to maximize the benefits of child participation.This thesis examines children's participation in public policies in Morocco by analyzing the legal frameworks, existing practices, and encountered challenges. Focusing on the application of article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the study examines how children can influence decisions that directly concern them. The findings highlight significant progress in recognizing children's right to be heard while identifying key obstacles that still hinder their effective participation. By proposing potential solutions to strengthen child participation, this research aims to promote more inclusive policies and improve the quality of public decision-making that affects children.
