Abstract
Artykuł opisuje niezależną aktywność wydawniczą lat 70. i 80. w kategoriach proponowanych przez socjologiczne teorie nowych ruchów społecznych, w szczególności w ramach teoretycznych proponowanych przez Alberta Melucciego, kładącego szczególny nacisk na oddolny, kulturowy ich charakter. Autor kładzie nacisk na to, że szeroki ruch opozycji antyreżimowej w PRL rozwijał się w oparciu o bardzo liczne, niekierowane odgórnie inicjatywy i pokazuje, że to praktyka biorących na siebie ryzyko porażki indywidualnych opozycyjnych innowatorów była podstawą ewolucji opozycyjnej strategii. Pokazuje zarazem, że oddolny ruch opozycyjny od pewnego momentu przestał być efektywnym sposobem na system, co było efektem wyczerpania się możliwości zawartych w strategiach ruchu kulturowego oraz braku innowacyjnych perspektyw, które mogliby wyznaczyć polityczni liderzy. Owa słabość przełożyła się również na nikłą rolę, jaką odegrały oddolne instytucje opozycji demokratycznej w toku przemian, jakie zachodziły w Polsce po upadku komunizmu.
