1935 YILINDAN İTİBAREN TÜRKİYE’DE YAPILAN ÇİN ARAŞTIRMALARINA GENEL BİR BAKIŞ

Abstract
Ülkemizde Çin ile ilgili araştırmalar Atatürk’ün ön ayak olmasıyla 1935 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Dil ve Tarih Coğrafya Fakültesi bünyesinde Sinoloji kürsüsünün kurulmasıyla başlatılmıştır. Bu kürsüde, 1937-1948 yılları arasında görev yapan Alman Sinolog Prof. Dr. Wolfram Eberhard, ülkemizde Sinoloji biliminin gelişmesine büyük katkılar yaparak Çin kaynaklarında yer alan Türklerle ilgili bölümlerin belirlenmesi ve değerlendirilmesi ile Çin edebiyatı ve tarihi alanında pek çok araştırmalar gerçekleştirmiştir. Temeli sağlam bir şekilde atılan bu bilim dalı Eberhard’dan sonra yetişen Prof. Dr. Bahaeddin, Ögel, Prof. Dr. Muhaddere Nabi Özerdim, Prof. Dr. Pulat Otkan, Prof. Dr. Gülçin Çandarlıoğlu, Prof. Dr. Ayşe Onat, Prof. Dr.Özkan İzgi ve Prof. Dr. Bülent Okay gibi Sinolog ve tarihçilerin büyük çabalarıyla Çin kaynakları ışığında pek çok bilimsel eserler ortaya konmakla kalınmamış, bu değerli bilim insanlarının yetiştirdikleri genç nesle mensup araştırmacılar da aynı gayret ve azimle, ayrıca Sinoloji’nin Türk tarihi ve kültürünü ilgilendiren alanlarda katkılar sağlamaya devam etmektedirler. Bu makalede, Türkiye’de Çin kaynaklarına dayanılarak yapılan araştırmalar ile klasik ve modern Çin araştırmaları hakkında ayrıntılı bilgiler verilmeye çalışılacaktır.
