Salud bucal en personas con condición de discapacidad relacionada con SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19): revisión de literatura

Abstract
Objetivo: describir los factores de riesgo que afectan la salud bucal en personas con condición de discapacidad relacionados a SARS-CoV- 2 (COVID-19). Métodos: se realizó una revisión de alcance durante enero de 2022 en PubMed, Scielo y Google académico, tomando artículos referentes a los factores de riesgo que afectan a las personas en condición de discapacidad relacionados a SARS-CoV 2 (COVID-19) en odontología. Se tuvo en cuenta la guía de métodos STROBE, la herramienta Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS), así como la extensión PRISMA para Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Se seleccionaron artículos publicados desde diciembre del 2019 a enero del 2022, en idioma inglés y español. Resultados: se hallaron 8 artículos de diferentes bases de datos seleccionadas para este estudio. Todos los artículos abordaron los temas de salud bucal y discapacidad. Sin embargo, solo un artículo hace inclusión de los temas discapacidad, salud bucal y SARS-CoV2 (COVID -19), describiendo como factores de riesgo los sociofamiliares y medioambientales. Conclusiones: no se observó relación entre salud bucal, discapacidad y COVID-19. Solo un artículo reportó que la salud bucal se ve alterada por situaciones de estrés causadas por la pandemia y el desconocimiento sobre el cuidado de salud bucal de padres y tutores cómo responsables de los mismos.
