Abstract
Au départ du travail réalisé dans le cadre de l’exposition « Oh ! Ça ne coule pas de source » organisée au Musée bruxellois des Industries et du Travail en 2021-2022, ce court article propose de porter un regard distancié sur le système socio-hydrique bruxellois et de mettre en perspective les transformations qu’il connait depuis une vingtaine d’années. Le coût croissant des infrastructures de l’eau (stations d’épuration, collecteurs d’eaux usées), couplé à la paupérisation d’une grande partie de la population bruxelloise, secoue profondément le modèle contemporain de gestion de l’eau quotidienne ébauché à partir de la findu 19e siècle et mis en œuvre principalement après la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
