Estan preparades l'emprenedoria i les micro, petites i mitjanes empreses (MPIMES) catalanes per competir en el nou món global que basa la competitivitat en el coneixement? Ha canviat alguna cosa en el món de les MPIMES que ens faci pensar que podran articular la transformació i el futur de la nostra economia i la nostra societat? O, al contrari, ¿són una espècie social en perill d'extinció? Aquestes són algunes de les preguntes que han inspirat aquest llibre. A partir d'una recerca sobre les empreses catalanes creades en temps de crisi, aquest llibre analitza els determinants i els resultats de l'emprenedoria innovadora i el seu procés de generació de valor en xarxa. Els resultats ens confirmen bones notícies perquè, tot i la crisi, l'economia catalana amplia la seva base emprenedora innovadora, millora el seu procés de generació de valor i evoluciona cap a una xarxa de negocis. Tot un signe d'optimisme per al futur.
