Abstract
Cette étude porte sur la fabrique et l’évolution de la réputation de Malherbe au XVIIe siècle. Malherbe lui-même choisit de ne pas faire imprimer ses poésies, ce qui leur donna de la valeur. Parallèlement, Racan et d’autres auteurs, tels Ménage ou Saint-Glas, utilisèrent son nom et sa poésie dans la construction de leur propre réputation et de leur figure d’auteur, contribuant ainsi à faire monter la valeur des poésies malherbiennes.
