Abstract
The extended social offender reintegration program in Canada involves the nearby community and incorporates its intervention into their initiatives. In addition, Correctional Service Canada （CSC） is developing reasonable accommodation for ethnocultural offenders. I have studied five correctional institutions of CSC and one facility run by the provincial government in Ontario and interviewed the people involved. In this article, I described the current situations of their relationships with their community and approaches to the cultural diversity of the offenders. In the conclusion, I have discussed the effect of correctional facilities’ efforts to collaborate with the community from the contact hypothesis theory.
