Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Kitami City in Hokkaido, which has become famous as the “ sacred place of curling,” boaststhe largest area in Hokkaido, and is the core city of the Okhotsk Regional Development Bureau with a population of 110,000. Kitami City merged with three surrounding towns in the so-called “Heisei no Dai merger,” and the town of Tokoro, famous for curling, was incorporated into the city. In particular, Japan's first indoor curling rink was built in the former town in 1988, and since the 1998 Nagano Olympics, the women's team from Tokoro has participated in seven consecutive Olympics. However, while the spotlight has been on the glamorous aspects of curling in Kitami City, such as top athletes like Roco Solare and Mr. Oguri, who laid the foundation for the city's “sacred place,” there has not been much focus on the daily, grassroots practice of curling in the city. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the current state of curling in the city of Kitami. In this paper, the purpose is to examine the current stage and issues of daily curling in Kitami City through a survey of literature and materials, as well as interviews with people involved in the curling association, to obtain basic data for future research.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
