本稿は、カナダ・バンク―バー市に位置する Collingwood Nibourhood House において、移民者がネイバーフッドハウスと出会い、自分自身の居場所を見つけながら地域社会とどのように関わり、生活を営んできたか、また、地域活動を通して、自己能力をどのように高め、発揮してきたかについて、インタビュー調査から明らかにした資料である。
