Abstract
The aim of this study is to clarify how citizen museums in Montreal address themes related to the coexistence among people of diverse cultural backgrounds through francisation activities, and how they link their institutional missions and social roles with educational activities. As a foundation, three key topics are discussed: the current state of francisation in Quebec, the reasons for learning French in museums, and the social role of museums through the concept of the “citizen museum.” Based on this framework, the analysis examines three case studies of museums in Montreal: the Musée McCord Stewart, the MEM - Centre des mémoires montréalaises, and the Écomusée du fier monde. The findings reveal that these museums offer French language educational activities that focus on the histories and personal narratives of minorities such as Indigenous peoples, immigrants, and the working class, and that they foster dialogue among participants. In some cases, newcomers who participate in museum activities do not remain solely in the position of learners at the margins, but instead become sources of knowledge themselves, contributing their personal stories to the museum or engaging directly in the planning and creation of exhibitions.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
