HISTORY OF FORMATION OF RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY IN KYRGYZSTAN

Abstract
This article examines as an urgent problem problems in the religious sphere that have arisen as a result of changes in society over the quarter century since Kyrgyzstan gained independence. Attempts have been made to determine whether religious diversity in modern Kyrgyzstan is a phenomenon that appeared only in the 90s of the twentieth century. Accordingly, an overview of the process of formation of historically determined religious diversity on the territory of Kyrgyzstan was made. The worldview of the Kyrgyz people as Tengrism, as well as the historical conditions for the emergence of the religions of Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Manichaeism, Christianity and Islam in Central Asia and their influence on the culture and general history of the Kyrgyz people are considered.
