Abstract
Comment les organisations internationales réagissent-elles aux conjonctures critiques ? Cet article cherche à s’emparer de cette problématique en mettant en lumière les effets produits par une crise diplomatique opposant l’Union européenne et les régimes militaires ayant pris le pouvoir au Mali, au Burkina Faso et au Niger. Nous cherchons à analyser les reconfigurations à l’oeuvre au sein de l’UE après la rupture soudaine et inattendue de partenariats mis en place dans le cadre de la Politique étrangère et de défense commune (PESC). À partir d’un cadre d’analyse emprunté à la sociologie de l’action publique européenne, nous montrons que divers acteurs impliqués dans la PESC ont tenté de faire de cette « crise » une opportunité pour défendre leurs préférences et leurs agendas au nom de l’intérêt de l’UE.
