In today’s competitive market, supply chains are becoming increasingly complex, requiring efficient management of resources, logistics, and data. The integration of Big Data technologies into supply chain management offers significant opportunities for optimization. By utilizing large-scale data analytics, organizations can gain insights into demand forecasting, inventory management, and distribution planning, among other critical areas. However, the application of Big Data in supply chain optimization also presents challenges, including data integration, privacy concerns, and the need for specialized infrastructure. This paper examines how Big Data can be leveraged to optimize supply chains and the challenges companies face in doing so. The paper also offers recommendations on overcoming these challenges to fully realize the potential of Big Data in supply chain optimization.
