Abstract
Collectieve acties zijn een belangrijke wijze om inbreuken op collectieve belangen aan de kaak te stellen en om massaschades af te handelen. Collectieve schadevergoedingsclaims (class actions) bestonden al lang in verschillende andere landen, zoals in de Verenigde Staten, Australië en Canada. Sinds de invoering van de WAMCA in 2020 zijn ook in Nederland collectieve acties ter verkrijging van schadevergoeding mogelijk. Deze collectieve acties brengen veel kosten met zich mee. Onderzocht is op welke wijze collectieve acties gefinancierd kunnen worden en of het wenselijk is een processenfonds in te voeren, zoals dit ook in een aantal andere landen bestaat.
