Abstract
Este artículo examina cómo se ha conceptualizado la gobernanza y la política urbana en América Latina en la Revista EURE (1970-2025). El análisis identifica varias transiciones teóricas que van desde el estructuralismo cepalino, el reformismo institucional y la sociología marxista en sus inicios hasta enfoques neo-institucionalistas y neo-marxistas sobre globalización y gobernanza empresarialista y, más recientemente, marcos socio-legales y de ecología política. Estas perspectivas han orientado debates sobre planificación, movimientos sociales urbanos, políticas de vivienda, segregación, gentrificación y financiarización. A pesar de esta diversidad teórica y temática, persisten en la revista tres patrones epistemológicos: dependencia teórica y reduccionismo empírico, predominio de categorías binarias de análisis y una praxis elitizada del cambio urbano. Frente a estas limitaciones, más que proponer un nuevo giro teórico, el artículo plantea estrategias para avanzar hacia formas más situadas y descolonizadoras de producción de conocimiento mediante marcos relacionales y comparativos y la co-producción con actores territoriales.
