Abstract
La escritora Natasha Kanapé-Fontaine (1991), de origen innu, pertenece a una generación de artistas que ha puesto en jaque los estereotipos sobre lo indígena en Canadá, impulsando un movimiento de reconstrucción de la memoria que actualiza la mirada sobre las identidades singulares y colectivas. En los últimos años, esta autora contemporánea se convirtió en una figura icónica de la lucha por los derechos de las Primeras Naciones, Métis et Inuit3. Su compromiso estalla como su arte —ella escribe, canta, pinta, actúa— y estalla en su arte para apuntalar el valor de las culturas autóctonas y reposicionarlas en la historia del continente americano. En particular, en el terreno de la literatura, toma el francés, la lengua colonial, como un arma de deconstrucción (cf. Kanapé-Fontaine, 2015) y hace de la poesía un espacio en el que se mezclan lenguas y culturas, dimensiones íntimas y colectivas, en una constante indagación en torno a la identidad propia, sumergida en la identidad de los pueblos originarios y, específicamente, de la comunidad innu (cf. Kancepolsky y Salerno, 2021).
