Este artículo propone varias recomendaciones para fomentar la intención emprendedora entre estudiantes universitarios en América Latina. Las recomendaciones se basan en análisis secundarios de dos estudios en los cuales se encuestaron a 1.213 estudiantes de pregrado, matriculados en programas relacionados con negocios en cinco universidades de Colombia, Ecuador, México y Perú. El primer estudio examinó la influencia de la educación en emprendimiento sobre la intención emprendedora, mientras que el segundo analizó cómo los role models (personas referentes) y el apoyo emprendedor afectan de manera diferenciada la intención emprendedora de mujeres y hombres. A partir de estos hallazgos, se presentan varias recomendaciones de gestión y de política para universidades y otros actores relevantes.
