Abstract
Dans cet article, nous interrogeons les conditions de production du savoir sociologique du point de vue du moment interprétatif dans les enquêtes ethnographiques qui ont été l’objet de controverses plus ou moins récentes. Il n’est pas question ici de prétendre que l’objectivité d’une démarche de recherche soit dépendante de la réception qui en est faite, en particulier par les personnes enquêtées, mais de réfléchir aux « violences de l’objectivation », au statut du sujet et de sa parole dans l’enquête. Nous montrons alors la récurrence d’une explication causale qui tend à reconstruire des entités substantives à travers des conceptions particulières du statut ou du rôle des personnes enquêtées et de leur parole. Comment tenir compte du fait que celles-ci n’ont pas attendu l’arrivée du ou de la sociologue pour rendre leur vie significative? Comment alors conjuguer leurs interprétations à celles du ou de la sociologue?
