Abstract
A educação pública, segundo Laval (2004, p. xiii),assim como “a estabilidade política, a liberdadede circulação financeira, o sistema fiscal favorávelàs empresas, a fraqueza do direito social e dossindicatos e o preço das matérias-primas”, tem se tornadoatrativa aos capitais e ganhou visibilidade e importânciaglobal no meio empresarial e nas políticas de adaptaçãodos governos. Nesse contexto, a educação configura-secomo um campo de forças, um afrontamento de grupose de interesses que apresentam lógicas distintas paraa transformação da escola: de um lado, a negação doprincípio da educação pública de “apropriação por todosde formas simbólicas e de conhecimentos necessários aojulgamento e ao raciocínio”, substituídos por “aprendizadosdóceis às empresas e voltados para a satisfação do interesseprivado” (Laval, 2004, p. xxi), que instaura a lógica mercantile intensifica as desigualdades; e de outro lado umaeducação que visa melhorar “as condições de assimilaçãoe de aquisição dos conhecimentos indispensáveis a umavida profissional, mas também, muito mais amplamentea uma vida intelectual, estética e social tão rica e variadaquanto possível” (Laval, 2004, p. xxi) para o maior númerode pessoas.
