Abstract
El 11 de mayo de 2003, ante la denuncia de cuatro casos de carbunco en la zona de Santa María de Huacho, se conformó un grupo de intervención rápida integrado por personal del INS (un biólogo y un técnico) y de la Oficina General de Epidemiología (OGE) (un médico veterinario y un biólogo), al que se sumó un médico del Departamento de Epidemiología del Hospital Regional de Huacho.
