Abstract
Dental caries are characterized by the demineralization of the hard tissues of the teeth 1 .They are the most prevalent oral health issue globally, causing significant pain and discomfort 2,3 .Community Water Fluoridation (CWF) is a populationlevel, preventive strategy that prevents tooth decay by adjusting fluoride levels in drinking water to Health Canada's recommended range of 0.7 mg/L to 1.5 mg/L 4,5 .Fluoride is a non-dissipating mineral that strengthens enamel before and after teeth erupt, reducing tooth decay by 25-30% 6,7 .While Saskatoon has fluoridated its water supply since the 1950s 8 , limited data exists on how concentrations vary throughout the city.
