Abstract
La Universidad El Bosque, fundada en 1977 como Escuela Colombiana de Medicina, cumple, en el presente año, sus veinticinco (25) años de ininterrumpida labor al servicio de la educación superior colombiana, término du-rante el cual ha visto consolidar su desarrollo físico, académico y científico. Reconocida nacional e internacionalmente por sus aportes al conocimiento, por la calidad de sus pro-gramas y el excelente desempeño de sus egresados, tiene en el modelo Bio-Psico-Social el eje conductor de todas sus actividades. Sus programas de Pregrado y Postgrado, con currículos actualizados según los úl timos avances de la ciencia y la tecnolo-gía, buscan contribuir al desarrollo del pais con estrategias específicas enmarcadas en activi-dades de docencia, investigación y extensión. Ha fortalecido el desarrollo de sus programas me-diante la suscripción de convenios de cooperación e intercambio con reconocidas Universidades extran-jeras, como Oklahoma, Miami, Harvard (Estados Unidos), Quebec (Canadá), Alcalá de Henares (Es-paña), Concepción (Chile), Nacional del Rosario (Argentina), entre otras.
