Principios Normativos para una Ética de la Inteligencia Artificial analiza la necesidad de construir un marco ético claro, aplicable y normativamente sólido para orientar el desarrollo y uso de la inteligencia artificial. El libro parte de un diagnóstico central: en los últimos años han surgido numerosos documentos, declaraciones y recomendaciones sobre ética de la IA, pero la abundancia de principios ha generado ambigüedad, confusión y dificultades para su aplicación práctica. Frente a ello, la obra propone revisar críticamente esas formulaciones y recuperar elementos de la ética clásica para sintetizar la discusión en tres ejes fundamentales: honestidad, intencionalidad y conciencia moral. El texto contextualiza la expansión reciente de la IA, especialmente a partir de los modelos generativos de lenguaje, los sistemas multimodales y las aplicaciones en campos sensibles como la medicina. Esta aceleración tecnológica vuelve urgente establecer criterios éticos que permitan anticipar riesgos, proteger a los usuarios y asegurar que la IA beneficie a la sociedad. La obra revisa distintos marcos internacionales y nacionales, entre ellos los Principios de Asilomar, la Declaración de Montreal, las directrices europeas para una IA fiable, la Recomendación de la UNESCO sobre ética de la IA, los principios de la OCDE, las propuestas de Partnership on AI, así como iniciativas empresariales y políticas estatales de países como Estados Unidos, China y Rusia. A través de esta revisión, el libro muestra que existe un consenso amplio sobre valores como transparencia, rendición de cuentas, inclusión, privacidad, dignidad humana, seguridad y beneficio social. Sin embargo, su aporte principal es crítico: advierte que una ética de la IA no debe reducirse a una acumulación extensa de principios dispersos. Por ello, concluye con la idea de que “menos es más”: se requiere una ética normativa más clara, comprensible y operativa, capaz de guiar a desarrolladores, instituciones y gobiernos hacia una inteligencia artificial responsable, humanamente orientada y socialmente benéfica.
