Abstract
A modern tudásfelfogás két részre szakadt. Létezik a tudásnak a klasszikus filozófiai értelemben vett egészre irányuló megismerési igénye, amivel szemben áll a modern tudásfelfogás, amely csak azt tekinti tudásnak, ami egyben teljesíti a modern tudomány normatív előírásait. A két felfogás közötti ellentét közvetlen oka, hogy a modern tudás – ha akarták, ha nem – fokozatosan politikai jellegzetességekkel itatódott át. Az ok a modern társadalmi szerződés elméletének általánossá válása, ami az igazságot kompromisszum tárgyává tette. Descartes-tal kezdőden Kanton át a pozitivisták időszakáig bezáróan a metafizikai igazságelvű és teleologikus tudományfelfogásnak vége lett. Helyét a diszciplína vette át, amely normákat ír elő. Ezek azonban alá vannak vetve a politika modern totális tendenciáinak. Ezt fejezik ki a modern akadémiák is, amelyek a társadalmi szerződéssel összhangban államtól függő intézményekké váltak. Ezek sorában találjuk – ez a jelen tanulmány állítása – a Magyar Tudományos Akadémiát is, amely önképe szerint ugyan „független” és „autonóm”, ez azonban sem tudományfilozófiai értelemben vagy eszmeileg, sem financiálisan nem igaz. Modern körülmények között ugyanis nincs politikamentes tudás, ez csupán értelmiségi illúzió. = The modern conception of knowledge is split into two parts. There is the idea of classical philosophy, which aims at acquiring holistic knowledge, standing in contrast to the modern conception of knowledge, recognizing only that which meets the normative standards of modern science. The rift between the two goes back to the social contract theory of the early modern period, which unavoidably politicized every quarter of a modern society, including science. Beginning with Descartes, through Kant up until the positivists philosophy, society reached a point where science had given up the metaphysical and teleological concept of truth. Modern science as a discipline replaced old, metaphysically based knowledge, prescribing norms which fall under the totalitarian tendencies of modern politics. Modern academies of sciences have also become state-dependent institutions, not only because of ever-increasing needs for research funding. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) is not an exception either. The HAS may be yearning for “independence” and “autonomy” from the state, but that is an intellectual illusion, since there is no politics-free knowledge in modern times.
