La revista quincenal Logroño Cómico se editó desde mayo a septiembre de 1888, siendo su fundador Facundo Martínez Zaporta. Su objetivo era acercarse a los lectores para hacer sonreir a través de la caricatura política, como muestran sus portadas con las imágenes de una serie de políticos riojanos, pero presentando en su interior la realidad de la vida cotidiana riojana. Los anuncios de la página final sirvieron para financiar la publicación. Revista que fue publicada en los años de la Restauración, que vio nacer otras muchas similares a lo largo de las décadas finales del siglo XIX con el adjetivo de “cómicos”.
