Estrés Laboral y Rendimiento Cognitivo de funcionarios de una Universidad en Chile

Abstract
Resumen Introducción: este En la actualidad, el estrés se ha convertido en un problema para la sociedad, especialmente el estrés laboral, ya que su exceso trae como consecuencia un deterioro en las capacidades cognitivas de los trabajadores, desequilibrando su salud mental y afectando en su día a día. Método: Estudio cuantitativo descriptivo de corte transversal. Para describir el estrés y el deterioro cognitivo en el ámbito laboral en los docentes, se utilizaron los instrumentos de Evaluación Cognitiva de Montreal (MoCA) y la Escala de Estrés Percibido (PSS-14). Resultados: Los resultados indicaron que el puntaje mínimo obtenido en el test MoCA fue de 21 puntos, correspondiente a deterioro cognitivo leve (DCL), mientras que el puntaje máximo fue de 29 puntos. La media del test MoCA fue de 25.55 ± 2.18 puntos. En cuanto al estrés total, el puntaje mínimo registrado fue de 22, sin que ningún participante se encontrara libre de estrés, y el puntaje máximo fue de 39. La media del puntaje total de estrés fue de 31.95 ± 4 puntos. Conclusiones: se concluye la necesidad imperante de implementar estrategias para prevenir los factores de estrés laboral que afectan el funcionamiento cognitivo. Para ello, resulta fundamental definir claramente los puestos de trabajo y responsabilidades, proporcionar condiciones adecuadas y confortables para el desempeño laboral, organizar eficientemente las actividades, ofrecer capacitaciones, brindar apoyo ante problemas personales y fomentar la flexibilidad laboral, entre otras medidas.
