Abstract
Cet article aborde l’évolution de l’APPQ de 2005 à 2025. Il décrit l’adaptation nécessitée depuis l’entrée en vigueur de la loi encadrant le permis de psychothérapeute, la pratique de la psychothérapie et la formation continue. À la suite de la fermeture graduelle des instituts privés formant les psychothérapeutes psychanalytiques, l’association a évolué. Fondée au départ pour regrouper et dispenser de la formation continue à des psychothérapeutes dûment formés à l’approche psychanalytique, elle inclut maintenant aussi un programme de formation aux psychothérapeutes désireux de devenir psychothérapeutes psychanalytiques. Le statut de membre en formation, mis en place en 2017, s’est ajouté à celui de membre régulier. Être membre de l’association permet de consolider l’identité professionnelle en tant que psychothérapeute psychanalytique et répond à un besoin d’appartenance. Il est aussi question du rôle original joué par l’association, pour diffuser la pensée psychanalytique sur le plan culturel et social, par Cinépsy et les soirées d’échanges et de débats. Il identifie les enjeux structuraux et organisationnels, mentionne l’apport des collaborateurs et dégage les défis actuels de l’association.
