Abstract
À partir d’une base documentaire tirée principalement des archives de l’Association des psychothérapeutes psychanalytiques du Québec (APPQ), l’auteur retrace certains moments charnières de l’histoire de l’association. Il met en lumière comment sa création a été façonnée par des identifications groupales inconscientes et par sa place dans le contexte sociohistorique de l’époque. Enfin, il redonne au Père Noël Mailloux la place qu’il aurait dû occuper depuis le début dans l’histoire de la filiation de l’APPQ, c’est-à-dire celle d’une figure fondatrice au même titre que celle de Jeanne Beaudry, de Robert Pelletier et d’Hubert Van Gijseghem.
