Abstract
Cet article rend compte d’une formation proposée aux professionnels de la santé qui travaillent au Brésil dans le domaine de la parentalité et, plus précisément, de la protection des femmes enceintes et de leurs enfants contre les violences. Cette formation a été créée au sein de l’École de la famille, un programme innovant de santé publique développé dans la ville de Niterói. Dans un premier temps, les impacts de la violence intra- et extrafamiliale sont déployés en lien avec la périnatalité, en tant qu’enjeu de santé publique. Puis, la notion de transmission psychique est développée, afin d’explorer comment cette violence perdure au fil des générations. Les autrices démontrent la nécessité d’espaces de parole spécifiquement conçus pour les professionnels de la santé, afin de soutenir des approches et des soins adaptés aux oppressions économiques, genrées et raciales vécues par les populations en situation de vulnérabilité.
