Abstract
“A vida no feeling do momento” uma contribuição antropológica ao conceito de feeling do momento no consumo excessivo de álcool em coletivo. Trata-se de uma proposta alternativa à compreensão do beber socialmente em excesso, tendo como local etnográfico a região de Beauce, Quebec, Canadá. No lugar de considerar o consumo de uma série de cervejas como um problema social ou sanitário, Paulo Rogers buscou compreender como e por que se bebia excessivamente naquela região. Fazendo parte de inúmeros encontros, seja em garagens, em bares, em cabanas na floresta, no vestiário dos jogadores de hóquei amador ou durante partidas de boliche, Rogers se deixou afetar pela sensação presente e pelos contraditos pronunciados, logo que os que bebiam excessivamente experimentavam o que eles chamavam de feeling do momento.
