Abstract
L'écrivain n'est pas seulement un être fait de chair et d'os; il est également, depuis le romantisme, un personnage public qui arrive avec ses fictions, ses costumes, ses poses et ses tics, un « look », une « posture » (Alain Viala, Jérôme Meizoz). Ce mémoire de maîtrise, qui porte sur Gaston Miron, voudrait en faire la démonstration en s'attachant au personnage singulier que forgèrent le poète et la critique entre 1953 (année du lancement de Deux Sangs aux éditions de l'Hexagone) et 2008 (année de la parution de l'album musical Douze hommes rapaillés chantent Gaston Miron). C'est à comprendre la construction de la posture de Miron et l'édification de sa légende que ce travail souhaite contribuer. Nous chercherons à montrer comment son attitude a façonné sa personnalité littéraire, son identité auctoriale, et a fondé sa spécificité au sein du monde littéraire québécois. La plupart des études portant sur la posture d'auteur ont pour objet d'analyse un corpus autobiographique. Nous chercherons à élargir ce corpus en étudiant également des poèmes de Miron, des articles de journaux et des hommages rendus au poète, un essai, un documentaire, ainsi qu'un album comprenant des poèmes mironiens mis en chanson. Ces documents nous permettront d'étudier certains aspects encore à peu près ignorés des travaux sur la posture d'auteur, notamment le rôle que jouent les pairs, les médias et les commentateurs de l'oeuvre mironienne dans la fabrication de sa posture, et la prise en charge par cette communauté de la légende mironienne après sa mort.
