Abstract
L' oeuvre théâtrale de Wajdi Mouawad, dramaturge québécois d'origine libanaise, explore l'exil comme expérience fondatrice, à travers des pièces comme Incendies (2003) et Mère (2021). Marqué par un double exil (Liban → France → Québec) et la perte de sa mère, Mouawad utilise l'écriture pour exorciser ses traumatismes, mêlant tragédie grecque, répétition narrative et métissage linguistique. Ses personnages, comme Nawal ou Jacqueline, incarnent les fractures identitaires, le silence et la quête désespérée de racines, tandis que le théâtre devient un espace de mémoire et de transmission, où la douleur se transforme en art.
