Abstract
Η Σκλήρυνση κατά Πλάκας (ΣκΠ) είναι ένα αυτοάνοσο απομυελινωτικό νόσημα του Κεντρικού Νευρικού Συστήματος και αποτελεί την τρίτη πιο συχνή νευρολογική διαταραχή των νεαρών ενηλίκων. Είναι χρόνια ασθένεια και χαρακτηρίζεται από περιόδους εξάρσεων και υφέσεων. Σκοπός: Ο σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η διερεύνηση της Ποιότητας Ζωής σε Έλληνες ασθενείς με ΣκΠ. Υλικό και Μέθοδος: Στη μελέτη συμμετείχαν 38 ασθενείς με ΣκΠ οι οποίοι παρακολουθούνται στη Νευρολογική Κλινική του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών “Γ.ΓΕΝΝΗΜΑΤΑΣ”. Χρησιμοποιήθηκε το ερωτηματολόγιο «Ποιότητας Ζωής κατά McGill (αναθεωρημένο)» (McGill Quality of Life Questionnaire-Revised). Αποτελέσματα: Η πλειοψηφία των ασθενών είναι αρκετά ικανοποιημένη στους περισσότερους τομείς που απαρτίζουν τη Γενική Ποιότητα Ζωής τους. Ωστόσο τα σωματικά συμπτώματα προκαλούν ποικίλα προβλήματα στην καθημερινότητα των πασχόντων.
