Resumo Objetivo identificar os fatores associados ao estresse de cuidadores familiares de crianças e adolescentes com síndrome de Down. Método estudo com delineamento observacional, analítico e transversal, de abordagem quantitativa. A coleta de dados foi realizada no domicílio, por meio da aplicação de um instrumento de caracterização, de uma escala de estresse percebido e da coleta de cortisol salivar ao despertar.
