Prince Albert Mental Health Outpatient Services Saskatchewan Health Authority: exploring worldviews in a clinical counselling space
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This practicum report summarizes and reflects my learning and experiences at Mental Health and Addiction Services located within the Saskatchewan Health Authority in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan via a clinical field practicum in partial fulfilment of a Master of Social Work degree. The purpose of this full-time 12-week practicum was both exposure to and development of graduate-level clinical counselling skills from within the field through direct practice and literature review. This practicum provided an opportunity to honour and deepen my commitment to anti-oppressive and decolonial practices within a clinical setting that differed from my previous experiences. The report begins by outlining my learning goals and outcomes, which were informed by a review of mental health literature specific to Saskatchewan and Canada. My field experience was shaped by theoretical frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Trauma Theory. Additionally, the report explores anti-oppressive and decolonizing practices, grounded in an understanding of Canadian history and informed by approaches that prioritize Indigenous wellness and mental health perspectives. Finally, the report concludes with an assessment of how I met my practicum objectives, along with critical reflections and ethical considerations that will inform my future social work practice.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
