Dans la continuité des travaux sur les biographies langagières en didactique des langues, trois chercheuses-formatrices ont mis en place une démarche d’autobiographie langagière culturelle et créative (ABLCC), dont le caractère spécifique repose sur le travail multimodal et créatif pour réfléchir à son rapport aux langues et aux cultures. Les résultats de cette étude décrivent la démarche d’ABLCC réalisée dans le cadre de la formation à l’enseignement dans une université québécoise. Cet article illustre les étapes de sa mise en oeuvre et décrit la place de la multimodalité dans cette démarche. L’étude met en évidence les représentations des personnes participantes qui peuvent créer des obstacles à l’expression orale et artistique, ainsi que le rôle facilitant de la multimodalité dans le processus au regard du rapport à la langue et à la culture.
