Cette étude évalue l’impact des projets de villes intelligentes sur le développement durable au Maroc, en se concentrant sur les perceptions des habitants dans cinq villes : Casablanca, Rabat, Tanger, Marrakech et Benguerir. Une approche de recherche quantitative a été adoptée, utilisant un questionnaire structuré en ligne pour recueillir des données sur les dimensions environnementales, économiques et sociales de ces projets. La méthodologie a inclus une technique d’échantillonnage aléatoire stratifié pour garantir un échantillon représentatif de chaque ville, avec 200 participants interrogés. Les résultats montrent une perception généralement positive, mais modérée, de ces projets. Des améliorations ont été observées dans la gestion des ressources et la réduction des déchets, bien que des défis persistent dans les secteurs de l’eau et de l’énergie. Sur le plan économique, la création d’emplois a été limitée, bien que l’accès à des services modernes tels que le commerce électronique ait amélioré. Socialement, bien que la qualité de vie et l’accès aux services publics se soient améliorés, des problèmes d’inclusion sociale demeurent, en particulier dans les zones périphériques. L’étude conclut qu’un progrès a été réalisé, mais que des stratégies plus ciblées sont nécessaires pour maximiser les bénéfices des initiatives de villes intelligentes et garantir des résultats équitables pour tous les citoyens.
