Abstract
Kiev Renaud a accompagné Alex Viens dans l’écriture de son roman Les Pénitences , paru en mai 2021 à la maison d’édition Le Cheval d’août sous sa direction. Ensemble, l’auteurice et l’éditrice reviennent dans le cadre de leur correspondance sur le processus éditorial, et la relation qui s’est tissée entre iels au cours de ces longs mois de travail : la relation éditoriale suppose-t-elle une hiérarchie ? Comment mener ce travail de façon éthique quand, comme Les Pénitences , le texte traite de traumas ? Les interventions dans le texte peuvent-elles alors être perçues comme une intrusion ? Comment mettre en place une relation de care sans que ces précautions ne soient prises au détriment du travail de la langue (douloureusement pragmatique) ? (KR et AV)
