Abstract
Le thème scientifique abordé au cours de ce stage d'enseignement est celui de l'évolution des plates-formes continentales : description structurale et morphologique, enregistrement sédimentaire. La plate-forme continentale du domaine Atlantique / Manche ainsi que d'autres en milieux tropicaux connaissent un regain d'intérêt scientifique ces dernières années. De nombreuses études sont en cours (Universités de Bordeaux, de la Rochelle, de Vannes, de Brest, de Rennes, de Caen, IFREMER) et visent principalement à étudier l'enregistrement sédimentaire quaternaire en réponse aux signaux climatiques et tectoniques. La vaste plate-forme continentale bordant le Massif armoricain ainsi que la région de Concarneau offrent cette possibilité d'étude en quelques jours de mer.
