Abstract
Bu çalışma, günümüz İngiltere'sinin oluşmasının temeli olarak gördüğümüz 1485-1603 yılları arasında hüküm süren Tudorlar Hanedanlığı Dönemi'ni genel bir açıdan sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu sunum yapılırken, yönetim, idare, donanma ve din konusuna ayrıntılı olarak yer verilecektir. Dönemin birincil kaynaklarından olan Tudor Dönemi Kronikleri kullanılacaktır. İngiltere'de feodalitenin kral karşısında zayıflaması, Soyluların yanında orta sınıfın oluşması, Kilise topraklarının ilgası ile İngiliz Kilisesi'nde dini liderliğin papadan krala geçmesi, 17. yüzyıldan itibaren denizlerde İmparatorluğa dönüşecek gemi filolarının oluşması ve Anglikan Kilisesi'nin kurulması bu dönemde gerçekleşmiştir. 17. yüzyıldan 20. yüzyıla dünya siyasetinde başrol oynayan İngiltere'nin gücünü ve Akdeniz siyasetindeki etkisinin temeli olarak gördüğümüz bu dönemi daha iyi analiz edebilmek için bu çalışmayı hazırladık. Bu çalışma ulusal akademik literatürde bu konudaki ilk çalışma olduğundan bu dönemin genel bir çerçevesini çizmeye çalışacaktır.
