Abstract

Bu araştırmada ortaokul öğrencilerinin, Hücre ve Bölünmeler Ünitesi Akademik Başarı Testi (HBÜABT) kullanılarak ilgili üniteye yönelik akademik başarı düzeylerinde, çeşitli değişkenlerin etkisinin olup olmadığının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan başarı testi, Kılıç & Girgin (2022) tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma, 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde 189 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin HBÜABT’den aldıkları puanlar, cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterirken; sınıf seviyeleri, bilimsel bir dergiye abone olma, daha önce bilimsel bir faaliyete katılma, Fen Bilimleri dersinde etkinlik/deney yapma sıklığı, okumayı en çok tercih ettiği kitap veya dergi türü ve izlemeyi en çok tercih ettiği film türüne göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemiştir.
