Abstract
Le Bâtiment 7 est un édifice de 9 200 m2 situé sur les terrains du Canadien National à Pointe-Saint-Charles qui, après 9 ans de lutte, a été cédé en 2012 par un propriétaire capitaliste à un OSBL. Diverses sections du bâtiment, du terrain et des moyens de production sont mises en commun par différentes communautés, agencées au sein d’une grande communauté du commun gérant l’ensemble. Je commencerai par un survol des différents communs qui sont en jeu dans et autour du Bâtiment 7. Par souci de temps, je n'entrerai pas dans l'analyse de chacun d'entre eux. Je me concentrerai plutôt sur les spécificités de la communauté des communs dans son ensemble, en discutant de l'accès aux communs avec une attention particulière à la question de la diversité. J'utilise la notion de pouvoir social pour mieux comprendre les dynamiques qui agissent sur la pleine participation de certaines personnes à la communauté des communs. Dans une optique matérialiste intersectionnelle, je me concentre sur la blancheur et le racisme quotidien. Ce regard nuancé sur les pratiques de mise en commun mettra en lumière un projet révolutionnaire qui se veut non hiérarchique, inclusif, ouvert et autonome, tout en contribuant aux débats sur la blancheur et le racisme dans les organisations situées à gauche du spectre gauche-droite.
