La délimitation de zones d’aménagement (MZ) est l’une des approches de l’agriculture de précision permettant de gérer la variabilité spatiale des cultures. Néanmoins, leur délimitation repose généralement sur l’acquisition de données complexes, souvent coûteuses ou nécessitant un équipement spécialisé. Les indices de végétation, comme l’indice de végétation par différence normalisée (NDVI) dérivé d’images satellites optiques, constituent une alternative accessible et économique. En particulier, les composites temporels du NDVI permettent de capturer les variations de la végétation influencées par le climat, les sols et les pratiques agricoles. Ils offrent ainsi une vision globale et cohérente de la dynamique spatio-temporelle des cultures. Cette étude avait pour objectif d’estimer le potentiel agricole de champs de pommes de terre (Solanum tuberosum L.) en culture commerciale en utilisant une analyse diachronique d’images satellites. Elle a été réalisée sur 17 champs situés à Florenceville-Bristol, au Nouveau-Brunswick, entre 2015 et 2023. Un total de 230 images NDVI, issues des satellites Sentinel-2 et Landsat 8, ont été utilisées. Trois MZ ont été générées à partir des composites maximaux du NDVI et caractérisées par des métriques statistiques (la moyenne, l’asymétrie et l’écart-type). La validation des zones s’est appuyée sur les rendements de 2023 et les propriétés physicochimiques des sols. Les résultats ont montré une forte concordance entre les MZ, les rendements, le carbone total et l’azote total.
