Svaret kan være lysdrevne nanomotorer – mikroskopiske maskiner, der fysisk bryder bakteriernes slimede skjold ned og dermed baner vejen for mere effektiv behandling. Artiklen guider dig igennem principperne bag både boblefremdrift og termoforese, og viser hvordan SiO₂-Au-nanomotorer med infrarødt lys kan nedbryde biofilm på under tre minutter.
