Abstract
El Dr. Michel Bergeron, director de la revista Medice-Sciences y profesor titular de la Universidad de Montreal, estuvo en Venezuela en noviembre del 2003, presentando la ponencia titulada No se trata de patafisica sino del costo de no saber, dentro del Foro Reto de la ciencia en la Venezuela contemporanea, en el marco de la LIII Convencion Anual de la Asociacion Venezolana para el Avance de la Ciencia, AsoVAC 2003. Por medio de una serie de ejemplos reveladores invita a la comunidad cientifica a no realizar Patafisica, lo que significa trabajar sobre teorias sin fines practicos, sino que deben abocarse a producir soluciones a los problemas especificos de sus paises. Ademas Bergeron reconoce la importancia de contar con medios de comunicacion especializados que promuevan los avances cientificos y especialmente aquellos en formato digital
