Abstract
À partir de premiers résultats de recherches et de débats théoriques, ce texte propose une perspective analytique qui rend sa spécificité au travail exercé sur l'humain, notamment dans le domaine des pratiques d'assistance sociale. Les caractéristiques de ce travail sont notées, et surtout sa réflexivité, soit ses boucles de récursivité de multiples éléments culturels. On montre alors que certains traits de la problématique classique du travail industriel ne cadrent pas vraiment avec ce travail, même si l'on continue à les lui appliquer. On note enfin comment, dans le travail social, se structureraient des pratiques quotidiennes de travail dit réflexif qui ne peuvent être réduites ni à l'autoritarisme institutionnel, ni à l'anti-instrumentalité communautariste.
