Izvorni znanstveni rad Primljeno: rujan 2007.Le fdralisme asymtrique contemporain continue de constituer une rponse aux demandes des minorits nationales au sein de socits multinationales.Toutefois, les tenants de l'tat unitaire mettent habituellement l'accent sur la situation d'instabilit ou encore sur la menace l'unit et aux valeurs constitutionnelles de solidarit, d'galit et de libert que constitue l'adoption d'un tel type de fdralisme.Dans ce texte, nous tentons de voir comment le Canada constitue un cas de fi gure du renouveau de ce dbat sur les tenants et les aboutissants du fdralisme asymtrique.
