A parametric study of interdigital electrodes for achieving high droplet speed in electrowetting
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Electrowetting (EW) is a phenomenon that attracted much attention in recent years for its wide applications in Lab-On-a-Chip (LOC) devices. Understanding the parameters that affect this phenomenon is a key for enhancing the droplet transport rate and consequently increasing the volumetric flow rate. Here we used the EDEW 2.0 simulation tools. This software uses the well-known code of The Surface Evolver incorporated with a user-friendly GUI. The effects of parameters include geometric electrode dimensions, dielectric layer thickness, and applied voltage for water droplet volume (1 µL) is discussed. By simulation of the process, the consequent energy curve for every case is obtained. The results show for increasing the droplet transport rate or droplet speed, parameters likes applied voltage, dielectric layer thickness, and electrode width have optimum values that can be determined for a specific droplet volume.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
