Abstract
La formacio en neonatologia esta ben organitzada a Australia, els Estats Units i el Canada. A Europa, l’European Board of Pediatrics (EBP) va reconeixer el 1997 el Working Group in Neonatology (WGN) de l’European Society for Pediatric Research (ESPR). A l’agost del 2001, el WGN-ESPR es va convertir en l’European Society for Neonatology (ESN), reconeguda per la Confederation of European Societies in Pediatrics (CESP) com l’organitzacio representativa de tots els neonatolegs europeus . L’ESN ha elaborat un programa de formacio per als neonatolegs a Europa amb l’objectiu d’harmonitzar els programes de formacio entre els diferents paisos europeus i establir uns graus de coneixement i habilitats clarament definits , la qual cosa permetria l’intercanvi de neonatolegs entre els paisos europeus participants.
